Chiang Mai rewards people who stay a while, and if you are here for a month or more, renting by the day makes no sense. RideMate rents Honda scooters by the week and the month only, so everything about the setup is built around long stays: a bike that is yours for the duration, at a monthly rate with everything except fuel included.

If you are a digital nomad settling into Nimman, wintering away from home, or here for a season, tell us where you are staying and we bring the bike to you. Delivery and pickup are free anywhere in Chiang Mai - Nimman, the Old City, Santitham, Hang Dong and everywhere in between.

What the monthly price includes

• Free delivery and pickup - anywhere in Chiang Mai, at a time that suits you.
• Two helmets - so you can take someone with you from day one.
• A phone holder - fitted to every bike we rent, so you can navigate.
• Servicing handled - oil, tyres, the lot, for the whole rental. Our job, not yours.
• A backup bike - if anything goes wrong you get a replacement, not an excuse.
• Basic insurance - included in the rate.
• English support - a real person on WhatsApp who actually answers.

Why monthly beats renting by the day

Daily rental shops are built for a three-day visit: queue at the counter, sign for the bike, hand it back, start again somewhere else. Over a month that gets old fast, and the arithmetic is worse than it looks. On our ADV 160, four separate weeks would cost 11,200 baht; the monthly rate is 5,000. The Click 160 works out the same way - 9,200 baht for four weeks against 4,000 for the month.

A monthly rental also means the bike stays with you. Move from a hostel in the Old City to a condo in Santitham and the bike simply comes along. And when the month is nearly up, staying longer is one message: tell us before the rental runs out and we extend it - no handing anything back and starting again.

What you need

Licence (required)

You must hold a licence that lets you legally ride a motorbike in Thailand: either a Thai motorcycle licence, or an international driving permit that Thai law accepts for motorbikes. This one isn't negotiable.

Deposit

Required on every rental, and returned to you at the end of it. We confirm the amount before you commit to anything.

Paperwork

A rental contract and an ID document. We check the licence, take a copy of your ID or passport, and hand both straight back - we never hold your documents. Fuel is not included.
